Artist Spotlight

Vighpyr's Place is very proud to feature
"
MASSIMO SAMMI"
in our Artist Spotlight.

R.I.P. Charlie Banacos, my great and unique teacher in life and in music.

"Sammi is a particularly adept technician whether swinging on electric guitar or accompanying (...) Sammi's chops shift from thoughtful, warm comps to open soloing"
Mark F. Turner - All About Jazz USA

"In First Day you can fully breath the passion for jazz and the praiseworthy goal to innovate its musical language with great respect for history and an equal tension towards new openings (...) First Day shines in its own light and reveals a promising and highly creative musician"
Vincenzo Roggero - All About Jazz Italy

"Massimo Sammi’s debut album First Day proves to be a melting pot of inventive melodic schemes and thick entanglements that stretch jazz music’s limits."
Susan Frances - JazzTimes
